“Some of you may know that I have been coming to China for the last 25 years. My youngest daughter was born here in Nanjing and adopted from the Nanjing Orphanage. After I adopted my daughter, who is very healthy, I really wanted to do something for the other children in the orphanage who is not as lucky as she was. This is my way of saying thank you.”
“It takes a great deal of human love and affection for children around the world for these teams to come together to try to help these children, particularly here in China. They have disabilities that they should be addressed to medical care. It is wonderful opportunity for us to express our affection for the children and families.”
“Every year we try to innovate and to bring new people along. We have some wonderful and well-trained ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) plastic surgeons this time, which is great. And we will be doing plastic surgery reconstruction this time.
(In the new building this year,) we have more time because we have more wards. We’ll be working very hard over the weekend so that we can be able to continue working through the week and be able to help more children, in this beautiful, amazing new hospital. ”
